  • Spiritual Direction at St. Pius

Do you desire to explore your spirituality and deepen your relationship with God? Are you searching, transitioning, or grieving and would benefit from a spiritual companion? Do you want to know how the desires of your heart can reveal God's will for you? The spiritual journey can be a lonely path, especially in difficult or trying times. Through deep listening, conversation, and reflection, a spiritual director can help you notice how God is present and active in your life- awakening new possibilities, connections, and deeper meaning. Spiritual direction can be a source of healing as you experience a deeper sense of God’s unconditional love and care.

Dawn Grabs is a spiritual director in our parish. She is trained and certified through the Souljourners Spiritual Direction Formation Program sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica, Atchison, KS. Dawn is also trained in spiritual gifts discernment through the Catherine of Siena Institute Called and Gifted Discernment program. For more information about spiritual direction or to schedule a meeting, contact her at 913-259-4801 or dgrabs@spxmission.org.

Fr. Gerard Alba also offers spiritual direction. Reach out to him to schedule at galba@spxmission.org.

    * Meetings are typically once a month for an hour, and stipends may be donated to the spiritual director or the church based on what you are able to contribute.

Holy Family School of Faith, a local non-profit, also offer Spiritual Mentorship. Learn more about their program here: schooloffaith.com/spiritualmentorship.
